5 Must Read Books For Entrepreneurs
Good Morning,
In today’s newsletter I will be sharing five must read books for entrepreneurs. Despite the title, I would recommend these books to all readers as there is something new to learn in each one.
Zero To One by Peter Thiel
Peter Thiel, co-founder and former CEO of PayPal, shares his notes on startups and the future of businesses. Referencing the factors leading to his early investments in Facebook, SpaceX and LinkedIn, Thiel identifies the keys to a successful startup.
Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki
Although many may have already read this book, it’s value to those who haven’t is too high to leave it out of this list. Robert Kiyosaki explores a range of personal finance myths and shares his perspectives on how the rich manage their money.
Contagious by Jonah Berger
Jonah Berger’s ‘Contagious’ examines what causes certain stories, products and videos to go viral - ultimately showing how to make your own product or idea catch on. Using powerful stories and detailed research, Berger reveals the science behind word of mouth.
The $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau
In his New York Times Bestseller, Guillebeau focuses on the 50 most intriguing out of 1,500 case studies: each following individuals who have built businesses earning $50,000 or more from a modest investment (often $100 or less). This book is full of the lessons these individuals learned along the way and can provide insight for those who feel that they need more money to start their business.
Rework by David Heinemeier Hansson and Jason Fried
From the founders of software company 37signals, Rework is described as ‘the perfect playbook for who’s ever dreamed of doing it on their own’. Aimed at entrepreneurs and small business owners, the book highlights how anyone can start a business and encourages readers to create their own way of managing things rather than working an unhealthy, miserable amount of hours.
“Brilliant thinking is rare, but courage is in even shorter supply than genius” ~ Peter Thiel
