Gratitude is the ultimate solution to happiness.
One thing that I learned is that we are the result of what we think day to day and what we project to the world. I mean that if you are always thinking negative thoughts, your brain will ALWAYS think negatively, affecting your happiness. At the end of every day, your brain will be grumpy and it will tell you so many things that went wrong on that day but you have to ACTIVELY tell your brain “I know you have a lot of negative thoughts to tell me but we can find one positive thing that happened”. This exercise will force you to think positively and retrain your brain to find the blessings that the world has the offer. As time goes on you will find more Positive activities day to day.
Mo gawdat is my biggest inspiration in terms of self-development created an idea that is named Look Down. Look Down is basically if you compare yourself to someone who has a better phone or trainers than you then you will feel so much more miserable. If you compare yourself to the person in Africa, India or someone from the refugee camp then you will feel so blessed and grateful for your life. An interesting study is that the northern countries have the highest subjective well-being (Quality of life) but they also have the highest suicide rate. This is because as our quality of life increases we keep looking up, wanting more and raising our expectations of what life should be like we have a contract with life. If you look down, it will take you so much longer to get to that stage because you do not know how blessed you are in this life especially if you are reading this newsletter with a phone and fast wifi. People have never seen a smartphone and you are complaining?. If you live in the UK, by definition you are the luckiest 10% of people in the whole world!. If you are reading DailyFinance I can guarantee you are.
So please, be grateful of your life because people will kill just so they can experience some of the stuff that are available to you. Society is so f^^^^ because we do the most for people that will sacrifice you for £100.
Hope you enjoyed this newsletter and stay blessed !
